Seamless Gutters & Gutter Guards in the Charlotte Metro

Gutters protect your foundation, your siding, and your landscaping. Under a mature Piedmont tree canopy, they also clog constantly.

A roof moves an enormous volume of water. An inch of rain on a 2,000 square foot roof is well over a thousand gallons, and all of it has to go somewhere that is not against your foundation.

Much of the Charlotte area sits under dense hardwood and pine canopy, which is wonderful for shade and hard on gutters. Willow oak leaves and pine needles fill them relentlessly, and an overflowing gutter dumps water directly against the fascia and foundation.

Signs your gutters need work

  • Water spilling over the edge during moderate rain
  • Gutters visibly sagging or pulling away from the fascia
  • Staining or peeling paint on the fascia board behind the gutter
  • Erosion trenches or splash-back staining along the foundation
  • Water in the basement or crawlspace after heavy rain
  • Plants growing out of the gutter — a reliable sign of full sediment
  • Downspouts discharging directly at the foundation instead of away from it

Why seamless matters

Sectional gutters are joined every ten feet or so, and every one of those joints is a future leak. Sealant at the seams degrades and the joints are exactly where debris accumulates and holds water.

Seamless gutters are formed from a continuous coil on site, run to the full length of your roofline, and have joints only at corners and downspout outlets. Far fewer seams means far fewer failure points.

Gutter guards under a Piedmont tree canopy

Not all guards work here. Simple screen and foam inserts handle large oak leaves reasonably well but pine needles pass straight through and then mat on top of the insert, which is worse than no guard at all.

If you have pines, micro-mesh is the system that actually works. It costs more and it is the only style we recommend for pine-heavy lots. We will tell you honestly if your tree situation does not justify guards at all — plenty of homes are fine with twice-yearly cleaning.

What we install

  • Seamless aluminum gutters formed on site to your exact roofline
  • Standard 5-inch and oversized 6-inch K-style profiles
  • Correctly sized and positioned downspouts with proper discharge
  • Hidden hangers fastened into the rafter tails, not the fascia alone
  • Gutter guards, including micro-mesh systems that handle pine needles
  • Fascia and soffit repair where water damage has already occurred
  • Gutter cleaning and re-pitching for existing systems

Frequently asked questions

Do gutter guards mean I never clean my gutters?
No, and any company promising that is overselling. Good guards dramatically reduce cleaning frequency and prevent clogs, but debris still accumulates on top of the guard and should be cleared periodically.
Should I get 5-inch or 6-inch gutters?
Five-inch handles most homes. Six-inch is worth it on steep roofs, very large roof areas, or homes where the existing gutters overflow in heavy rain despite being clean — the extra capacity solves that.
Can you replace gutters at the same time as the roof?
Yes, and that is the right sequence. New drip edge goes in during the roof install and integrates properly with new gutters, and doing both at once means one setup rather than two.
